Our Mission:

Striving to make a positive imprint on the hearts of families fighting childhood cancer.

We fulfill our mission by helping ease some of the burdens faced when receiving treatment; by filling bellies and supplying necessities to help fight.

“Fighting cancer is hard, but surprises make it a little easier. I want to make sure other kids who are fighting cancer get a wagon to fill up with their favorite things so they’re not scared at the hospital.”

Making a Difference

We make a difference in the lives of families facing childhood cancer. Each gift card and wagon received brings joy during the darkest of times. We’re helping carry these families through the fight.

Our Programs

Karter’s Kards

Locally based restaurant gift cards are issued to families checking out of a long clinic stay at Dell Children’s Blood and Cancer Center. Upon checking out, the parent’s mind is bombarded by what just took place, trying to process it all, and put the pieces back together. Routine clinic and hospital stays become a financial burden to families fighting cancer. Families can’t afford to eat out after every visit, so they often have to make their child wait until home. Back up food brought from home is typically gone by the time of checkout as things don’t typically go as planned through cancer treatment. This is why the gift card program was created. It’s our way to help lessen the stress of purchasing another meal out after treatment.

Karter’s Karts

Wagons provided to families upon being diagnosed with childhood cancer at Dell Children’s. When you receive the cancer diagnosis for your child, the last thing you are thinking through is what you’ll need for this initial hospital stay. Things accumulate over your stay and quickly you’ve gained a lot of things to tote back and forth between hospital stays. We help keep your things together by providing a collapsible wagon to help you through your fight and beyond. These wagons are also great for wheeling your child around the hospital halls and outside.
